Summer Staff

Why should I consider ministering at an SCA Camp?
SCA camps provide a great opportunity to serve the Lord as you serve others – right here in Canada. Yes, there is even a need for people here in Canada to be reached with the truth of the Gospel. Our campers are primarily Aboriginal but everyone is welcome.
You may have an opportunity to share your faith in Christ with campers who have never heard about Jesus. Some campers receive Christ as their Savior and Lord and others grow in their faith.
Serving at an SCA camp is all about bringing the truth of the Gospel to the campers; that is our purpose. However, in doing so, it is impossible to not be impacted yourself. You will be stretched, challenged, encouraged, blessed and will grow in your relationship with God.
How will I know what to do?
All summer staff participate in training at the camp and/or training is provided in your area. SCA also uses online training.
What positions are available?
The areas of service are endless at an SCA camp but here are some positions:
- Program Director
- Assistant Director
- Speaker
- Maintenance
- Cooks
- Counsellor
- Lifeguards
- Media Art Director
- Nurses
- Others
Is this all volunteer work or will I be compensated?
